Since 2000, Ezedi Udom has been in the business of mass communication, covering the three legs of public relations practice – media, agency and client. Experience, versatility, exposure and doggedness all played together to make Ezedi emerge as a one-man riot squad in the field of public relations.

He began his foray in the media in 2000 by joining the team of egg-heads in a budding satire cum humour magazine, Calabash. He was a pioneer staff of NewAge, published by Century Media Ltd in 2002. As a features correspondent, and later Foreign, Health and Civil Society Desks, Ezedi wrote incisive and well researched articles covering almost all issues of life, from real estate to environment, health, development and arts.

In 2004, he joined the Corporate and Financial Communications Limited, now C&F Porter Novelli where he worked between 2004 – 2008 and 2011 – 2015. Ezedi also worked at Caritas Communications Limited, a new public relations firm (2009 – 2011) as the pioneer account director. Some of the accounts he managed include Pfizer Inc, MTN, Motorola, Microsoft, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Swift Networks, Emirates Airlines, NEXTZON Business Services etc.

On client sphere, Ezedi Udom joined Transcorp Plc (2008 – 2009) as the media and communications manager and rose to acting head of the corporate relations department.  He also worked in Salveo Healthcare Limited (2015 – 2017) as the Media, Corporate Communications and Relations Manager, where he managed the corporate communications of The Bridge Clinic and PathCare Laboratories Nigeria.

In January 2017, he moved into Reputation Solutions Providers Limited, a public relations company he founded in 2011, with the aim of expanding the frontiers of public relations in Nigeria.

Ezedi is a graduate of Sociology and has a Certificate in Media Enterprise (CME) from the prestigious Pan African University (Lagos Business School) in 2010.

 

 

CHINEZE AMANFO
Consultant

A talented and dedicated public relations professional and Media Strategist, Chineze Amanfo, Associate NIPR, MCIPR, has more than 15 years of experience helping organizations communicate more effectively and efficiently. She has developed strategic communications plans, garnered extensive media coverage, produced marketing materials, coordinated special events, and a host of other communications activities as either an in-house or PR agency consultant.

She is regularly invited to speak to senior management teams of blue chip companies on a variety of topics, including effective internal communication practice, crisis preparedness, media training and strategic management of communications activities.

Her background in agency began when she joined leading Public relations company, Corporate and Financial Communications Limited, now known as C & F Porter Novelli. She spent between 2002 – 2011 managing clients such as MTN, Coca-Cola, Etisalat Nigeria now 9Mobile, Emirates Airline, Stanbic IBTC, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Unilever, GlaxoSmithkline and Murtala Mohammed Foundation.

In September 2011, she joined Nigeria’s most innovative and fastest growing telecommunications company Etisalat Nigeria (9Mobile) as Public relations Manager under the Brands and Communication team. She successfully led a high performing team responsible for the implementation of external communications policies/procedures as well as building, managing and protecting the corporate reputation of the Etisalat business. She also established bespoke thought-leadership activities and events in the areas of Corporate & Social responsibility, innovation, Quality of Service and Customer experience.

In addition to her expertise in PR strategies, Chineze has insight of the media and experience in emergency preparedness as well as crisis communications response.

An accredited public relations practitioner and toastmaster, Chineze is actively involved in community organizations and activities aimed at advancing the public relations profession.

Chineze graduated from the University of Calabar, where she earned her graduate degree in Languages.

She is currently a PR consultant to a range of clients from different sectors.
